Tamil Nadu doesnot use Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Tests (RADT). There may be a difference in number of sample tested given here in the media bulletin and the ICMR portal in view of time-lag between test conducted, results declared that are shared in real time basis by the labs to the state and the districts and the time taken for the data updation in the ICMR portal. One Private Lab namely Empirical Molecular Diagnostics, Nanganallur, Chennai has been recently approved and hence the total number of COVID 19 testing facilities gets increased to 310. Out of 13 deaths due to COVID-19, 6 are in Government Hospitals and 7 are in Private Hospitals.
