Passengers returned from other States by Domestic Airport includes Goa (1) and Jammu and Kashmir (1). Passengers returned from other States by Road includes West Bengal (17), Karnataka (5), Bihar (5), Andhra Pradesh (2), Jharkhand (1) and Kerala (1). Tamil Nadu doesn't use RADT. There may be a difference in number of sample tested given here in the media bulletin and the ICMR portal in view of time-lag between test conducted, results declared that are shared in real time basis by the labs to the state and the districts and the time taken for the data updation in the ICMR portal. One private testing lab at Laboratory Services, Arunai Medical College and Hospital,Thiruvannamalai have been recently approved & hence the total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities gets increased to 264. Approximately 2300 passengers travelled from UK between 25th Nov & 23rd Dec forenoon. Of the above, 2146 were traced & tested, of which 24 were tested positive & 2122 were tested negative. Though these 2122 travellers already were tested negative, as a matter of extra precaution 3977 close contacts of them were traced and tested & all were found to be negative. 4476 UK returnees arrived between 08/01/2021 & 28/04/2021. Of the above, 3957 were traced & tested, of which 15 are tested positive, 3935 are tested negative. Results of 7 passengers are awaited. The Total Primary Cases returned from UK as on 28/04/2021 & cases through their contacts till date are 39 & 20. All 39 Primary and 20 contact cases, tested negative on follow-up RT-PCR testing are discharged and completed home quarantine. Out of 98 deaths due to COVID-19, 51 are in Govt Hospitals & 47 are in Private Hospitals.
