Passengers returned from other States by Road includes West Bengal (3), Andhra Pradesh (2), Karnataka (2), Jharkhand (1) and Bihar (1). Tamil Nadu doesn't use RADT. There may be a difference in number of sample tested given here in the media bulletin and the ICMR portal in view of time-lag between test conducted, results declared that are shared in real time basis by the labs to the state and the districts and the time taken for the data updation in the ICMR portal. Approximately 2300 passengers travelled from UK between 25th Nov & 23rd Dec forenoon. Of the above, 2146 were traced & tested, of which 24 were tested positive & 2122 were tested negative. Though these 2122 travellers already were tested negative, as a matter of extra precaution 3977 close contacts of them were traced and tested & all were found to be negative. 4621 UK returnees arrived between 08/01/2021 & 20/05/2021. Of the above, 4310 were traced & tested, of which 16 are tested positive, 4286 are tested negative. Results of 8 passengers are awaited. The Total Primary Cases returned from UK as on 20/05/2021 & cases through their contacts till date are 40 & 20. All 40 Primary and 20 contact cases tested negative on follow-up RT-PCR testing are discharged and completed home quarantine. To summarise, out of 60 RT-PCR positive patients sent for WGS up to this update, 15 persons were tested positive for WGS, 33 were tested negative for WGS and 12 results are awaited. Out of 397 deaths due to COVID-19, 212 are in Govt Hospitals & 185 are in Private Hospitals.
